Elizabeth was born on the 2nd of October, 1771 to Mary Leary, age 20 and John Ramsay, age 40. She was baptised on the same day. 'Elizabeth Ramsey daughter of John & Mary Ramsey convicts' in St Johns Rose Hill (Parramatta) register. October is obscured in the image and this month may be incorrect. There was no church building at this time.

Church Street and St. John’s Church, Parramatta, from a copy of a steel engraving, 1853.
On the 25th of August, 1793, her brother John was born. Elizabeth was 1 years old.
On the 4th of August, 1795, her brother John Thomas was born. Elizabeth was 3 years old.
Elizabeth married James when she was 18 years old.
Her son John is born in 1809.
In February, 1812, she is a witness at Thomas Allen for the murder of his wife. The marriage is not found in the St John's Registers, and this it is unclear why. 1809 is a guess, based on the children's births.
Birth of son - James - born 17 July, 1812.
On the 7th of February, 1812, her mother Mary Leary passes away. Mary was 42.
Her daughter is then born on the 3rd of September, 1814. Her name is Mary, presumably after her grandmother.
